The Phantom Tribe

On June 13, 2009 our team decided to go check out some local folklore in Shelbyville, IN. We ventured out to Werewolf Hollow. The evening was warm and there wasn't any moisture and no precipitation.

Our investigators present  this night were Adam, Amy, Chris, Jason, Phil, Holly, and Kevin. Our equipment consisted of digital cameras, digital voice recorders, video camcorder with night vision, LED flashlights, and an EMF detector.

When we arrived at the start of Werewolf Hollow we decided to roll down our windows as we drove through. We were listening for growling, this was one of the stories we had heard about this place. We drove through slowly, hearing nothing but distant barking. Then we came to the stop sign that is supposed to be bleeding. The sign does appear that way. Upon further examination of the sign it has several vertical scratches on it, which when hit by headlights gives the bleeding appearence. There were also reports of seeing an apparition of a man warning you not to go any further. We never saw him either.

We parked our cars at the start of Werewolf Hollow. We got out to walk through and see if we could hear or see anything.  While we were taking pictures and doing some EVP work we did hear some noises coming from the wooded area. We determined this to be some sort of animal. Phil thought he heard some talking, but after reviewing evidence we determined this to be coming from the nearby houses.

Although we did not catch anything paranormal, this did turn out to be a very creepy place to visit at night. So if you feel like venturing out to Werewolf Hollow we are providing directions.

DIRECTIONS

Take I-74 East to the 2nd Shelbyville exit. At the stoplight off the ramp turn right onto SR 44. Stay on 44  a couple of miles. Turn left onto 650. Turn right onto Union Rd. Turn left onto Short Blue Rd. This is a long winding road. This is the road that Werewolf Hollow is on. You will notice that the trees bend over the road forming a cave like entrance. At the start of Werewolf Hollow is the bleeding stop sign. Enjoy!
