When we got there two other groups of people were already present. We walked around the cemetery doing our investigation. We took turns sitting on the haunted stump. The story states you will die within one year if you sit on the stump. We found baby Lesters grave in the back right corner of the cemetery. Baby Lester is suppose to be the baby that the ghostly woman watches over. We took numerous pictures, did some EVP work, and did some EMF readings. We purposely take our EMF detector out to places like this in hopes that we get a few spikes here and there.
Overall the night was uneventful until we met a couple of other people out there. There were two guys and a girl who was a sensitive. She got a strong feeling to start walking down a path that lead back to the woods. We decided to follow. The further back we got the cooler the temperature got. Amy and Holly decided to go back to the cemetery while Adam and Jason continued to follow one of the guys and the girl. The girl kept getting a feeling to go further into the woods. She felt as if something was calling her. Everyone stopped a minute because it was getting difficult to go further because of a steep decline and all the trees. All of the sudden the girl yelled "Go, go, get out of here!" She fell to her knees and started screaming like she was in agony. She stated that her stomach was in excruciating pain and the guy had to carry her back to the cemetery. When everyone got back to the cemetery the guy and girl wouldn't talk about what happened. We never did find out exactly what had happened.This is a cool place to visit. We recommend checking this place out however the cemetery closes at 11:00pm.
Go south on St Rd 37 towards Martinsville. Go past Martinsville and on your left is a road that is kind of hard to see at first but you want to turn left on Turkey Track Road. This leads into Morgan-Monroe State Forest. Continue along and the road will turn into Old State Road 37. Stay on this road and it will turn into Forest Road. Keep going until you see it on your left. You will see a place to pull off that has a path that leads up to the cemetery.
