We have been going out to Hays Cemetery for a very long time. We have all had some kind of paranormal experience out here. The investigators who have been out here on different occasions are Adam, Amy, Jason, Chris, Nate, Phil, Holly, Kevin, Ramon, and Dustin.
Adam, Amy, and Jason went to the cemetery one night back in October of 2008. When we arrived there were numerous toys that other people had left out there on some of the tombstones. There was a toy mouse made of hard plastic on top of one of the tombstones. While trying to communicate with any spirits that were out there, we asked it to knock the mouse over. This was a clear night and there wasn't any wind. While Jason was asking questions, Adam was taking pictures. Jason asked again for the spirit to knock over the mouse. Adam took a picture just as the mouse fell over and we caught something that looks like it was flying in front of the tombstone just as the mouse was knocked over. This picture is the first two pictures located below and on our home page.
Another night when Jason and Adam came out here alone they were asking questions trying to get some kind of response. Jason asked the spirit to give them an evident sign of its presence, he said that if you were upset and would like us to leave give us a sign such as make my phone ring. A couple seconds after his phone rang with the number 888-888-8888. Amy checked and this number was some sort of telemarketing number for post secondary education. That night, Jason tried to call the number back and nothing happened except a recording stating "all circuits are busy." The following night Adam, Amy, and Jason went back out to Hays Cemetery. We were taking some pictures and doing some EVP work. Jason asked again if the spirit could make his phone ring like it did the previous night. Sure enough the phone rang with the same number, 888-888-8888. Never before nor after these two night has this number ever shown up on his phone. Both calls took place between 1:30am and 2:00am. Paranormal, unknown. Strange and odd, definitely.
Since we have been coming out to Hays Cemetery we have taken a lot of pictures and EVP's. We have had pictures with mists, orbs, and some other unexplained things. We have also seen some shadow figures here. We almost always get at least one EVP when we go out here. It seems like there could be some kind of residual haunting taking place due to the fact that we get a lot of EVP's that sound like "help." We do believe there is something else going on here as well. Our EVP's are on our Phantom Voices page if you would like to listen to them.
So if you want to check out a place with a lot of paranormal activity, this would be the place to visit. You are allowed to be on the property at night. This place is secluded and sometimes very creepy.

UPDATE
Due to some recent unacceptable behavior from other people, it is now trespassing to be here. The police were there the other night and stated this is private property and no one is allowed to be on the property with out permission.

I-70 East to the Greenfield/Maxwell exit. Turn left off the ramp. Stay on this road until you come to the flashing light (234) and turn right. Drive down this road a couple of miles and look for 675 E (Thomas Rd.) and turn left. Keep going on this road and you will pass and intersection with another road and then start looking to your left. There will be a small gravel road on your left, turn in here and go up a little ways until you see the graveyard.
