On March 27, 2009 we decide to go check out 100 Step Cemetery. We had heard several stories about this place and it seemed rather intriguing. Adam, Amy, and Jason were the only investigators on this night. Adam and Amy walked up the steps counting each one. We both got between 58 and 60 steps. Turning toward the open field we did not see the first caretaker and no vision of our death. Most of the steps are gone or have grass growing over them so it is hard to tell where all the steps are. Jason walked up the hill beside us to see if he would get pushed down by the supposed phantom hand. No such luck there either. Upon walking around the cemetery we noticed that there were a lot of grave stones that have been vandalized.
We took a lot of pictures and did some EMF readings. We also did EVP work. After reviewing the evidence we were unable to capture anything paranormal. If you would like to go check out this place here are the directions.
DIRECTIONS
The directions we have are pretty accurate. We did not have any trouble finding this place. Take I-70 to Exit 41 (Greencastle). Merge onto IN-43/ US-231, turn left at East US 40. Take HWY 40 out of Brazil. Turn left at the Staunton flashers. Follow the road til you come to a 4-way stop. Turn right and go through town. You will take a sharp curve to your left and continue to follow the road. At the next 4-way stop turn right and follow the road for about a mile or so, go slow and watch to the right. You will go around a fairly sharp curve as you look to the right you will see the steps leading up the hill to the cemetery.
